1.Pipeline, Oahu, Hawaii/ Ahi Tuna Poke*-The mecca of surfing and the mecca of ingredients.
2.Zippers, Baja/ Fish Tacos- Right points and fresh fish. This is what surf trips are all about.
3.Beach Break, Biarritz, France/ Wine and Cheese-Huge sandy barrels and how about some wine with that cheese?Oui!
4.Soup Bowls, Barbados/Jerk Chicken*-Spicy chicken and blue water reef breaks in the Caribbean, soooo good!
5.Pavones, Costa Rica/Snapper Ceviche*- After an arm burning session on super long lefts, some incredible citrus marinated snapper is the cure.
6.Mundaka, Spain/Tapas-Surfing in front of a million year old castle and some of the most inventive cuisine on the planet. Sign me up!
7.Super Bank, Gold Coast, Australia/Meat Pies?-The wave looks so good it carries the ubiquitous meat pie to new levels. Or should I have put Vegemite?
8.Rio Nexpa, Mainland Mexico/Stewed Chicken*-Something about cobble stone point breaks and listening to the chicken being killed and butchered after you order has been placed. PS, don't be in a hurry
9.Wilderness, Puerto Rico/Any Pastry*-Powerful reef break and incredible selection of pastries and breads. Side note, I love going to PR and seeing locals who drive around in the little towns with LARGE home stereo speakers on the roof of their car, blasting some Latino Elvis!
10.Bowls, Okinawa, Japan/Sushi-Typhoon swell and the place sushi started, maybe this should be number one!
