The best trend in America right now is the practice of being better to the environment. Our family has a long way to go,but here is a start

Support farmers markets,

Grow a garden, 

and catch fish with a hook and line, this is 45 miles out in the ocean, watching the dolphins swim by as we catch snapper and grouper. Life is good.

Empty Bowls

Helped out with 'Empty Bowls' last Friday. We served over 140 gallons of soup!!!!! Its a great cause, go be a part of something!!!!!!!

Surf

Surf has been really fun lately. Also, got a long stand up paddle board session. Seeing bits and pieces of trash back up in the marsh was disturbing. Got what I could.

Spanish Mack

Today was a great day for surfing. The waves were really good and the Spanish Mackerel put on a show. Bobbing around watching hundreds of Spanish chase bait fish was great to see. I haven't seen schools this big since I was growing up. Catching some fresh Spanish to throw on the grill use to be no problem, but it has gotten harder and harder to do that. Today I saw fish jumping two to three feet out of the water everywhere! This just hits home on what I am reading right now. Minds in the Water

A global petition by the greater surfing community for the conservation of marine mammals is underway. Be a part of a visual petition with the likes of pro surfers Dave Rastovich, Kelly Slater, and musicians such as Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. Of course thousands of people from all over the world are putting their energy behind it.
